...so, one night I was hanging around the beach and I stepped on some glass and got this big gash on my foot and I was walking on the sidewalk in front of the Elbo Room and my foot was bleeding real bad, in fact there was blood all over the place (we u sed to go around barefoot back then) so, it was kind of neat for a while, but I thought maybe I should go to the emergency room, and so I go there and it's like 3 am and I see my family doctor happens to be there at the hospital where he is doing some ex treme thing like handling someone's tragedy in the middle of the night and he sees me and gives me this disappointed look and I am just all drunk and my foot is bleeding so maybe I had some sort of epiphany... like my whole life changed from this moment I realized something ... naa -- but I still remember it happened, though...

Hello, I was in Fort Lauderdale 5-8 april and that was the very first time i ever spent in the USA. I stayed at the "Sol y Mar" at Vistamar in these days. Allready a few hours after I landed, I walked along the Ocean Bouleward and I ended up in the Elboroom. And I must admit, I was impressed and nearly chocked to be there. What a view, I didn't expect Fort Lauderdale girls to be so pretty and so nice. In fact I didn't talk to the blond girl at Elboroom serving outside. I was travelling alone and that was it. She looked directly into my eyes one day and somehow I get terrified when very beatyful girls do that to me. I forgot to speak. Maybe someone coul d help writing me her name? If that's possible I will be right back in Fort Lauderdale! I just never will forget these blond girls in that town! The Cams in the Elbo room are great. All though the indoor cam doesnt refresh well and the color inst great, the out door cam works real well :) I have spent over 100 hrs watching the elbo room,, and plan to visit it some time. I grew up on Las Olas in the mid 70's and can remeber many of Parties and Happenings at my Favorite spot. The women were wild and the pace was FAST.... Hi, I was in the bar on Dec. 19, 1996 when that crazy guy was dancing by himself "like a frog", pounding his fist on the floor, dancing both inside and out to the sidewalk and back repeatedly. It was the one-man-rock-band-guy playing. Near the end of the night the guy dancing eventually crashed into the sound gear sending the stacked amps, music cartridges and mike stand etc. flying to the floor. Dates on the historical pictures and comments might make them more interesting. The pictures are good but only one of them has a date. I can figure out that it is the corner of A1A and Las Olas (the site of the Elbo Room), but it would be nice to have dates. Surely the Historical Society has that information.
